Gun Recordings
Some of my D’n'B History…
From 2005-2008 I was working with a small group of friends as ‘Gun Recordings’. Mike SVS (aka RaggaScum) started it as a sister label to his very successful ‘Warlord Dubplate‘ imprint. With focus on techy, neurofunk inspired, high quality music from artists that were mainly unknown at the time, we launched in 2006 with 2 of my earliest tracks, Mirror & Synthfighter.
I have to give a lot of love to the Gun Recordings Family, they really supported me from the start.
We signed tracks from all over the world. It was a great way to cut our teeth in the industry and get an understanding of the incredibly tough & sometimes monotonous nature of putting out such a niche genre of music. While some restructuring in the management of Gun Recordings took place over that first year, the quality of music steadily improved and the tracks garnered some pretty solid attention.
Following a short hiatus during the management restructuring, we planned a double simultaneous release. In March of 2008, ‘The Hostage Situation EP‘ hit the virtual shelves at Beatport.com, and my own ‘Grenade Launcher EP‘ was put out as a 100% free download.

It was a shame that the project came to an end… But we’ve all moved on to bigger and better things. Regardless, the music is out there, and thats what we wanted to do from the get-go.
