Comments:

Interesting to say the least. Arriving with my regular batch I only got a small sample of this strain, but it made itself known quickly. The “nubian” aspect of the name is mostly ironic as you can see in the pictures, this strain is densely coated with bright white trichomes and doesn’t have a trace of darker/purple colouring anywhere.  It breaks up fairly well, rolls nicely, and smells really crisp. With about an 80% snappability factor, it was definitely given time to cure, but maybe could have used another week.

Comments:

I rolled my joint, packed my bag, and headed to the gym. Not my usual review-routine, but I thought it’d be cool to really test this strain (and myself) out! 116 stories on the stair machine = CN Tower climb. I can do it after vaporizing a nice sativa, so here we go… I’ll report my findings when I return.

11:30 – Out the door & Sparked.
11:50 – @ the gym, stoned and kind of giggly.
11:57 – On the machine
12:2~ – Finished. Time for steam.
12:4~ – Showered & Changed. Heading home.
1:06 – I’m home, and ‘hurting’ from that workout.
1:07 – Decided not to write any more at the moment. Time to relax & lunch.

Conclusion: 8/10

The joint burned nicely on my walk, though made me cough a number of times while combating the chilly November air. After a single re-light about half way down the taste changed with heavy resin flavours and wasn’t as enjoyable, but overall it was good on the palate. By now you should know I’m not a big sativa guy, but for a morning kick-start and possible daytime use, the Nubian Haze definitely doesn’t disappoint.

I should have vaporized my session before heading out. Smoking marijuana before a workout often cuts down my cardio, as one would expect, but the sativa in this (combined with my kill-em-all work ethic) shone through and allowed me to focus on the music I was listening to, opposed to the numbers on the machine. I completed my workout by running up 116 stories inside 20 minutes, so my training for the CN Tower climb while medicated is totally doable… Though it definitely requires a high-energy sativa…

Note:

My source reports this strain as a “straggler”, as there were only 2 plants that finished, with somewhere around 11 weeks of flowering time. It’s not expected to come around again for that reason, so this test is that-much-more important for science! Limited edition plant nonsense!
