Who Is Dubcomm?
DCS905 / SUSPECT DEVICE / NU:GEN / CIVILIAN / 89.5 FM

A relentlessly uncompromising, talented and driven performer, DCS905′s mastermind Tyler ‘Dubcomm’ Metford has proven that it is possible to thrive in a constantly changing scene, with an unyielding passion for the darker side of drum’n'bass & electronic music.
Soon after graduating from one of Toronto’s most prestigious media colleges with a degree in audio engineering, heĀ was creating and releasing music. Most notably with Gun Recordings (USA) having a solo EP and a number of other releases with the group. He is currently working on music with Aconit (GER) & Eleventh Sun (CAN) and is expected to release a series of tracks in 2011.
A residency with Impure Productions’ wildly popular event series at MadBar in Toronto’s club-district, as well as a TorontoJungle.com competition winning DJ set with original partner DJ Faktah solidified Dubcomm’s ascent from the outskirts of Toronto early on, and since he has made a meteoric rise through the ranks of the cities DJ Circuit, now headlining events and supporting for international guests regularly.
Dubcomm produces a prime-time FM radio slot at the world famous 89.5 FM CIUT Studios in Toronto every Saturday night. With the support of a like-minded crew of performers, DCS905 Radio has established a prominent spot in the Toronto drum’n'bass community as an outlet for the darker side of the music.
In addition to music, Dubcomm is involved with a number of creative projects. Currently ‘Creative Director’ for new vaporizer manufacturer BMInnovators. He does extensive work in graphic design for clients locally and and internationally, and is also a contributing writer for Kmag (Knowledge Magazine) with the ‘CanaDNBa’ blog project covering aspects of Canadian DnB that might otherwise be overlooked.
