Comments:

When I think of a kush strain, my mind typically brings me to a batch like this. Beautifully formed, relatively dense buds with an impenetrable trichrome coating, and of course that signature sharp smell with a bit of spicy kick. This sample came to me vacuum sealed in a hard container to keep in freshness without crushing the plant during transport. Opening it up to grab a tester nug released a wave of very pungent kush musk and literally made my mouth water. Broken open (with a high snappability rating), the heavier buds reveal a light green & silver colouring near the stems that continues along the underside of the leaves through concentrated crystal formations… This is a beautiful plant. If this stuff smokes like it looks and smells, its going to be a treat.

Comments:

I really liked the last session I did like this, so to report my findings on joint-based testing sessions I’m doing another play-by-play, so here goes:

2:07 – This is a nice doobie! I’m not sure if I’ll make it all the way through… #sparkit
2:08 – Only took 1 go with the lighter, getting big hauls. Smooth fresh flavour.
2:09 – Oversized haul gives me quick sharp cough, feeling a buzz in the back of my head.
2:10 – 1/3rd through, blueish silver smoke to a 60/40 white/black ash. Coughs from big hits every time.
2:11 – Buzz has moved to my temples and behind my eyes, which are noticeably heavy right now.
2:12 – I have a semi-frozen orange/pineapple juice. I am pleased with the foresight that allowed this.
2:13 –  Fixed the cherry with a lighter, noticing some hashy/resin spice to the taste
2:15 – I am heavily medicated. Coughing a bit let the joint go out again.  Updating some stats.
2:17 – Hard to believe it’s been 10 minutes, I still have about 1/3rd left. Relighting for science.
2:18 – The smoke is hot and leads to coughing, smaller hits let me keep moving. Still tastes alright.
2:19 – Smoking this much to myself right now seems like overkill.
2:21 – 2 big hits and it’s time to put it out. My face and chest are flushed. My eyes are squinted on the screen and a bit watery.
2:23 – Writing a conclusion right now is laughable, I’m going to sit on my couch and enjoy these effects. It’ll come to me…

Conclusion: 8.5/10

I’m back writing after 20 minutes, and I feel great! The juice was a major factor I think, because smoking that much so quickly was taking it’s toll on my throat and lungs. Regardless, I’m very well medicated (as noted only 8 minutes from starting the joint!). The buzz in my head has leveled out very comfortably, and not too heavy, but the standout quality is definitely pain-management. I feel no strain or stress throughout my back and body, my neck and shoulders are actually quite relaxed. Considering today included an early visit to the gym I’m very impressed with this strain’s ability to keep me safe from spasms, even with the coughing associated. This is a very powerful, very indica dominant strain, and I almost feel biased having reviewing such a great example of Bubba Kush. Time to head back to the couch and enjoy the relaxation.

Note: I’ve had batches of “Bubba Kush” that don’t come close to the quality presented here. I’ve also seen batches of “kush” and “XXXXX kush XXXXX” around that I don’t even believe come from real kush bloodlines. Be wary of your sources and the labels they put on product. Learn to trust your own senses. Medicinal grade marijuana doesn’t smell like hay and look like shit (99% of the time). Try it… I’d wager there is SOME way this plant can help you live your life.
