Yup! Second weekend of April is our birthday broadcast. Tonight we’re getting started at the CIUT studio, then stumbling over to Total Science to keep the party going. Come get mental!

If you’re into darkside drum and bass, or you live in the Toronto area and you haven’t heard of DCS905 Radio, than you must be living under a rock thats under a much bigger rock. DCS905 Bossman Ty AKA Dubcomm is one of the hardest working DnB enthusiast in the local scene and has been running his radio show on 89.5 CUIT every week for the past 6 years. He does it for absolutely no financial compensation and keeps the machine oiled through listener donations. Gaining some long overdue recognition from Destiny productions, He recently rocked the world famous Guverment night club closing for the one and only Goldie. You can also check out his various other projects including his design imprint, and involvement in promotiong a brand new world class Infrared Vaporizer called “the Oracle”
Over the years countless special guests have graced the DCS905 studios…too many to name.

Social Media is driving promotion campaigns of all shape & size, with Twitter leading the pack… Rapidly picking up steam in Canada, this free micro-blogging service has quickly become a hot-topic of discussion. Just this past weekend over christmas dinner it was brought up by some family members, and I think its only a matter of time before at least a few of them pick it up…
I’ve been using it for a little while, am constantly posting links to music & events & random quotes & other assorted madness, and follow a bunch of awesomely funny & interesting & informative & exploitative & semi-insane users… And the list is always growing. Fall 2009 CIUT Pledge Drive
It is that time of year again. Twice a year we reach out for the ‘Friends of CIUT’ pledge drive, ensuring that the music be believe so strongly in will stay on the air for your listening pleasure. We don’t get paid a cent for the work that goes into DCS905 Radio, and CIUT itself is a charitable organization, a community radio station that truly plays music that isn’t available anywhere else on the dial.
This coming Saturday, November 7th will be the big broadcast where we need you to call in with your pledges during our regular showtime of 10pm-12 midnight EST (-5 GMT). The whole crew will be in the booth, Dubcomm, Faktah, Scott Free, Illweather, & Mensa… Its going to be a massive showcase of beats while we make the push to stay on air.
