This is the first time in years that Rob (Scartat) & I will be playing together. We used to take VS & B2B bookings in the Apothecary days (2006/7), and I think it helped us secure our spots as ‘those asshole that play the hard music’ in the Toronto Drum’n'Bass scene… It was always awesome times getting up on stage with the Scartat, we constantly try to one-up eachother with aggressive and destructive beats. I expect that this weekends reunion will bring out some of the most relentless insane drum’n'bass music the entire world has to offer, there is no holding back when trying to STOMP THE KITTIES!!

Insomnia + Reminiscing
Question me and I’ll laugh in your fuckin’ face. Question that and i’ll laugh even harder. I play music to keep myself out of a sanitarium. Its my release. You try to bring me some fuckin’ rules to it, and breakdown how the system works, when in fact you are calling out your own ignorance, because for the most part, DJ’ing is a solo venture… And if I’m told I can do this/I can’t do that/I’d look stupid doing this/don’t blah blah blah, I’m only going to revolt and laugh at you again.

While digging through some very old blog stuff, I came across this little gem of a quote. I’m not exactly sure what my headspace was when it came about, but I can feel the emotion while reading it back.
I have a lot of passion in my life. Maintaining the focus & drive that I once had can be a challenge, and looking back at the last few years of my life shows that in a very big way.
Less than a month until 2010. A bunch of monsterous ‘life’ stuff is happening right now… But my passion for music and technology remains strong. Standby for launch.
Gantz + Tekno DnB
Gunna be a pretty laid back weekend. I’ve got a bunch of studio projects on the go, so that keeps me in hibernation mode really well… Collabs with a number of artists are at various stages of completion, so 2010 is going to be a massive year of releasing music. I’m pumped about it.
Once the sound complaints start rolling in, I’ll be resting my spine on the couch with Steve & Wayne, taking in the sights of GANTZ. If you don’t know, I’m a bit of an anime nerd. No excuses, I just love the stuff, and this series is high on my list of recommendations… If you like monsters, big titties, crazy lazer guns, latex, teleportation, dead stuff, and generally well made cartoons, check it out.
Fall 2009 CIUT Pledge Drive
It is that time of year again. Twice a year we reach out for the ‘Friends of CIUT’ pledge drive, ensuring that the music be believe so strongly in will stay on the air for your listening pleasure. We don’t get paid a cent for the work that goes into DCS905 Radio, and CIUT itself is a charitable organization, a community radio station that truly plays music that isn’t available anywhere else on the dial.
This coming Saturday, November 7th will be the big broadcast where we need you to call in with your pledges during our regular showtime of 10pm-12 midnight EST (-5 GMT). The whole crew will be in the booth, Dubcomm, Faktah, Scott Free, Illweather, & Mensa… Its going to be a massive showcase of beats while we make the push to stay on air.
