I Am Not Moving

Very well put together piece of video showing the hipocrisy happening in the US right now…

As a Canadian citizen I’m scared that the kind of mentality that brought this situation about for our neighbors is happening here. Not to mention arab spring and all of the revolutionary movements happening on the other side of the world. The “Harper Government” needs to take note, and plan accordingly.

I stayed in Toronto, went out saturday and luckily made it home just before the anarchists went to work.

the black bloc tactic that was being employed is really intriguing, but the chosen method of protest (vandalism & theft) is a weak way of getting a point across… its great for getting attention, but there are ways of doing so without so much property damage. I guess they accomplished what they wanted to, but seeing the things we have now, in our city, won’t be easily forgotten.

with that said, next time i see said anarchists out fucking with my city and ruining positive & peaceful protest in that way, i want to don my white shirt and white bandana, head out into the middle of the crowds, and physically stop anybody thats fucking around in the aforementioned manner… then drag them to the front lines to get dealt with by the law.

people are pretty upset about the way police treated them, and granted, Sunday was a horrible, horrible example of their power, but they had to deal with a lot of unknowns, and i’m really conflicted about the work i saw them doing anyways, so its not my place to criticize. I look forward to a public inquiry into the whole operation, thats for sure.

Toronto Lockdown

This post is syndicated from DCS905 Radio.

Toronto Lockdown Our fine city is under siege. Kilometers of fencing has been erected all around the downtown core to keep protesters away from international delegates. Entire areas of our busy metropolis will come to a screeching halt because of the security concerns… Not only will business’ be shutting down, but the higher learning institutions will be put on hold as well. What this means to us, the rave on the radio, is there will be no *live* broadcast from the CIUT studios in the heart of the city. Because Queen’s Park (the police designated protest area) is our neighbor, government and school officials have opted to shut down during specific hours. Well, we’re not afraid. Though we won’t be physically next to the shit disturbers, we’ll be @ the CHIN studio a little further down the road, supplying the hyped-up, adrenaline fueled soundtrack that you’ve come to expect from us. So tune in, and stay out of trouble.
