Comments:

I’ve gone through a fair bit of Green Crack, this is certainly a top 5 strain for me, especially due to it’s effects. This batch is noticeably different from previous incarnations, mainly because of it’s open/airy bud structure. The trichomes dust the buds nicely, and the greens are super vibrant. Typically I expect a deep, dark green and 1-2g densely packed nugs, but was very surprised with how this arrived. Though it looks nothing like the GC I’m used to, the smell confirmed (right away) the genetics. There is a quick burst of that kushy “kick” with a sharp but musky kind of smell, almost like an organic gasoline. No other plant has the signature smell of Green Crack… It’s beautiful!

Comments:

Wake & Vape with Green Crack. Seriously. Sometimes getting going in the morning is an issue for me, strong indicas are the most effective strains to distract me from pain and so make up the majority of my medicinal selections. Getting this sativa dominant GC was new to me, and I found it to be a perfect multi-purpose, any-time kind of plant. The thick vapor produced around 375°F acted as an amazing expectorant, I had an eye-watering cough happening after just a few hits directly from the bag. It kinda kicked my ass. 15 minutes later with a light, clean buzz in my brain I was myself enjoying the buildup of effects, especially noting a great mood elevation while booting around the internet and taking notes for this post.

Doing some follow-up research (inspired by the effects of my testing session) I’ve learned that there are (at least) 2 different types of Green Crack that are common on the west coast, one being the dark & dense indica version I’m accustomed to, and the other a brighter and more sativa dominant plant… I think its pretty clear this is the sativa dominant side of the genetic pool, as I’m happily following links and forum threads around to hear about others’ experiences and the differences between Green Crack phenotypes.

Conclusion: 8.5/10

Top 5 every single time. Standard. This batch was amazing for work, but definitely put aside some time to medicate and adjust because it can provide a bit of a beatdown. Kicking off the day, or kicking back with some videogames to relax, it works and is definitely a treat. While I enjoyed my romp with this sativa, I still prefer the denser, darker version… If you have the Canadian, Indica based Green Crack genetics, please get in touch with me.

Green Crack

British Columbia's finest!

Note: The first joint I rolled from this batch during a session with Cannabis Champion of the World, Matt Mernagh. We didn’t finish it.
