||~~JADE (Hungary)~~|| – 2 HOUR EXTENDED SET || FIRST APPEARANCE IN TORONTO ||
In 2000, Jade started working on his own music, right away gradually developing his sound and experimenting with production, this was then richly rewarded in 2004 when his debut release came out on the massive Black Sun Empire Records.Jade had initially started collaborating with Matt-U and together had a number of highly regarded releases on some of the Drum and Bass scenes most impressive labels including the legendary “Moving Shadow”. Jade’s individual releases are on major labels which have been helping to shape the future of the scene including ‘Citrus’, ‘Black Sun Empire recordings’, ‘Close 2 Death’, ‘Collective’ and ‘Project 51′.
Since 2004 Jade released over 30 tunes over 8 different labels, has played in 25 countries and over 100 cities around the world. Jade is rated as one of best deejays on the circuit today, with strong crowd interaction and mixes that incorporate the hi-tech sounds of neurofunk and groove of technoid, including all the latest dubs from other established high profiled artists alongside his own high quality production which make for the perfect performance.

Darkside Long Weekend

This is a huge weekend for the darkside DnB heads in Toronto!
Our resident DJ ILLWEATHER will be in full control of the studio for 2 hours of expertly blended drum’n'bass selections Saturday May 22nd, so expect a mashup of beats spanning the darkside genres. He’ll be playing live from the CIUT studios from 10pm-12am EST, getting the party started properly… If you’re not sure who and what this guy is all about, check his bio or grab one of his recent sets from the archive, you will not be disappointed.

On another note, we’re rebuilding the DCS905 Facebook page, so if you haven’t yet, please add the new page!Theory Events has BLACK SUN EMPIRE locked and loaded for a long weekend jam on Sunday, May 23rd. A major influence to the dark, techy, hard-edged drum’n'bass sounds, BSE has been at the top of their game for years, and its a treat to hear them in a space as nice as Footwork Bar. 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY + PLEDGE DRIVE
This post is syndicated from DCS905 Radio.
Saturday April 10 2010 will be our official 5 year anniversary broadcast.
Tune in live from 10pm-12am EST for the most energetic, cutting-edge, aggressive and bass-face-inducing music we can arrange from Canada and abroad. Our resident lineup of Dubcomm, Faktah, Scott Free & Illweather will all be in the booth for a 2 hour audio assault in commemoration of DCS905’s 5 years of broadcast with CIUT, and in celebration of many more!We have a bunch of awesome giveaways lined up especially for our supporters as well. Our sponsor CIVILIAN has sorted us with a bunch of their 2010 apparel lineup, Young@Heart Jewelz has provided us with some custom bits for the ladies, and Adikshunz Tattoo linked us with some coupons for ink, piercing, & hairstyling… As per usual, we’ve got a quota to meet in pledgers, so your timely support is crucial to DCS905’s survival on the airwaves… We ask you only twice a year, and you know full well that nobody else provides the beats we do each and every week, so show a little love, do your part, and keep us working on Saturday nights!This date (April 10th) is also the ‘Friends of CIUT‘ pledge drive. Twice a year we reach out to you the listener for support in keeping the station alive. CIUT is home to staff and volunteer broadcasters that work 24/7 to provide the best and most original content possible on the airwaves, and we’re incredibly proud to be a part of their family. By supporting the station, and the DCS905 Radio program, you’re actively participating in the survival of Drum & Bass on community radio in Toronto. Do not let this important part of our culture die. Pledgers become Friends of CIUT, nabbing them a quarterly newsletter, entry in a grand prize draw, a tax reciept, and the satisfaction of doing something good. Depending on the amount you can pledge, there are gifts like hats & shirts going out as well… You can pledge online anytime HERE, just make sure you note the show you’re supporting is DCS905 RADIO. You can also download and mail in a form, HERE. Contact us below, or on twitter, facebook, myspace, or in person if you’d like to pledge in advance. It takes a little pressure off and lets us focus on the beats rather than calling on listeners during broadcast, so lets get this done now!

Lots of updates for you this week, so lets just dive in, shall we?
Dubcomm has posted his review of the Projek:Guv party @ the Kmag CanaDNBa blog. Check it HERE, or grab the RSS feed from the sidebar widget.
The featured photo has also been entered into a photo competition @ Lenzr.com … They asked for “Kids in action”, well, how about 800 of them dancing and partying at once?! Check the photo and click “10″ to show those toddlers who’s really having fun!
This coming Saturday is something we’ve been looking forward to for some time… Our own DJ ILLWEATHER will be holding down the freshly repaired booth @ 89.5fm, while Scott Free is at work with the Soul In Motion Crew @ ‘The Sigma Show v.2′, and Dubcomm is rinsing out the tekno @ ‘Good to the Last Bop’, the last-ever party in the BigBop/Reverb complex… It is going to be a busy, dnb filled evening… That is a promise.
So, lots to do, and lots more coming up as the seasons begin to change here in Canada. You know what to expect from us though, the Darkside of Toronto’s DnB.
